AI COST TRACKING

See where your AI spend goes. Decide what to investigate.

An AI bill tells you what you paid; it does not automatically tell you whether the work was useful. Connect supported billing sources, inspect their available breakdowns and bring your application’s outcome measures into the cost discussion.

A workflow your team can follow

01

Connect supported sources

Connect OpenAI, Anthropic or Cursor using the permissions required by that provider. Sources have different reporting granularity and update delays; keep those differences visible.

02

Inspect the available breakdowns

Compare the same periods and examine the model, project, workspace or member dimensions actually supplied by each integration. Do not assume every provider exposes every dimension.

03

Explain the change with your team

Use the spend view to identify the area to investigate. Correlate it with your own task success, retries, model choices and deployments before making a change.

What you can work on

  • View connected AI spend alongside cloud costs.
  • Examine provider-specific cost breakdowns in their own context.
  • Use budgets and anomalies as prompts for investigation.

Before you connect

Are billed costs and calculated estimates interchangeable?

No. Retain the source and method of a cost. A calculation from usage and prices should not be presented as a reconciled invoice.

Will I see cost per successful customer outcome?

That requires a defined outcome and a matching denominator from your application. Do not assume billing integrations import those business measures automatically.

Do all integrations include security and resource views?

No. Capabilities depend on the provider. AI cost sources should not be represented as having AWS resource or security coverage.
