Read-only on your workloads
The AWS role has no start, stop or terminate permissions. Its only writes are on what it sets up for itself: the cost export, its own Glue database and alarms named fivemetrics-*.
Least-privilege access
Google Cloud gets viewer roles on your billing export. OpenAI and Anthropic only offer admin keys for usage data; Fivemetrics uses them for read requests only.
No autonomous changes
Volt proposes; humans approve. Its drafts stay pending until an owner or admin approves them, and it has no command that touches cloud resources.

On AWS, one CloudFormation stack creates a role that reads your billing export, resource metadata and utilization. It has no start, stop or terminate permissions; its only writes are on what it sets up for itself — the cost export, its own Glue database and alarms named fivemetrics-*.
On Google Cloud, viewer roles on your BigQuery billing export. OpenAI and Anthropic only issue admin keys for their usage APIs; Fivemetrics sends read requests only.
No. Volt drafts budgets, alert rules, reports and allocation rules inside Fivemetrics, and each draft stays pending until an owner or admin approves it. Rightsizing and cleanup are applied by your team, in your own tools.
API sources such as OpenAI, Anthropic or Vercel load up to 90 days of history as soon as they connect. Google Cloud brings the last 35 days from your billing export. AWS delivers its first cost export within about 24 hours, plus the previous month when AWS has it. After that, data refreshes every 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on the source, and anomalies are checked daily.

Yes. Disconnecting a source deletes its stored key and keeps its history; purging deletes the source and all its data. An AWS account can be removed immediately or after a 48-hour window you can cancel; the stack is deleted and the cost export bucket stays in your own S3.
Provider keys are stored encrypted in a secrets vault. Emails and ARNs are redacted before a prompt reaches the AI model. Detailed history is kept 3, 6, 13 or 24 months depending on your plan; monthly totals always stay visible.
